From early on in life, Janis has always enjoyed watching people make the realization that they are capable of accomplishing things that they found to be challenging, which in turn inspired her to dedicate her life to helping students see their capabilities and overcome challenges.

Q: What have been some of your favorite moments as an educator?
Answer: "When I listen to students talk about their passion and their strengths, I am encouraged".
Q: What are you looking forward to about this school year?

Ms. Chamberlain embodies Pablo Picasso’s quote, “The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.” by using her own passion for teaching to inspire and nurture the unique talents of her Kindergarten through 8th grade students. She recognizes that every child has a special gift—whether it be in academics, creativity, leadership, or kindness—and she fosters an environment where students can discover and develop their strengths. Through engagement, encouragement, and individualized support, she helps each student recognize their potential. More importantly, she instills in them the value of sharing their talents with others, encouraging teamwork, mentorship, and acts of service. By modeling generosity and a love for learning, Ms. Chamberlain not only gives away her own gift of teaching but also empowers her students to find and share their own gifts with the world.
Thank you, Ms. Chamberlain, for all you do for your students at Sutton School and for the ¾«¶«´«Ã½ East School District! We are so happy to have you as part of our team of Educators!
