A couple of years ago, we decided to prioritize early interventions, especially in reading at the Newark Street School. Results of last year’s state literacy assessments, current iReady assessments, and classroom formative assessments are demonstrating positive results.

State testing for students in grades 3-8 begins tomorrow. We understand that testing can sometimes be a source of anxiety, and we want to ensure our students feel prepared and confident.

Hello! My name is Lauren Whitcomb (“Ms. Lauren”) and I am honored to teach K/1 at Newark Street School. In our classroom we focus on being curious learners, being kind friends, building community, and developing confidence and independence.

We're looking forward to a wonderful week ahead! As the weather gets warmer, we encourage everyone to spend some time outdoors and enjoy the sunshine.
