Letter to the Lunenburg School Community

May 3, 2021

Good Afternoon Lunenburg School Community,

As you know we have had a number of positive cases of COVID-19 in the Lunenburg community including members of the first, third and fifth grade school community.

We have been on remote learning for a week, since Tuesday afternoon April 27th. Due to the need for a number of individuals to quarantine, we need to extend remote learning through Monday, May 10th; all students may return to school on Tuesday, May 11th.

Parents and students should understand that while on remote learning, students are still required to log on to remote learning unless they are sick. If you have internet challenges, please reach out so we can do all that is necessary to provide you with a hot spot.

Thank you for understanding that, due to medical privacy laws, we are not able to release the name of the individual with COVID-19. Please do not speculate or ask about the individual, we are a small community and want to respect all members.

We recommend everyone take action to help limit the spread of COVID-19, even if you are not experiencing symptoms.

The most important things you can do:

  • Make an appointment to be immunized if you have not already
  • Make sure you are wearing.
  • Make sure you are.
  • Stay home if you are sick.
  • Call your primary care provider if you or your family members have symptoms.

We continue to see case counts of COVID19 in our county and the surrounding counties in Vermont and New Hampshire. This is a reminder for us all that the COVID19 pandemic has not ended. Please continue to be diligent and adhere to the mitigation measures that have worked so well to keep COVID19 out of our schools since September 8, 2020:

Masks on faces--6-foot spaces--uncrowded places.
