October 4, 2022 Game Summary --

The South 7/8 Boys traveled to Haverhill for a thriller tonight. Haverhill came out fast and furious and scored two goals within the first 8 minutes of the game. The first half was full of pushes by Haverhill and the defense of Lucas Switser and Ollie May proved to be a great duo of taking on the lead rush and shutting the door on their attack which would lead to the other players to pick up the loose ball. Zak Aubin was always pressuring the forwards at midfield and not letting them by him. Brayden Pinette completed the defense and made some key steals and pushed the ball to the sidelines.

Haverhill took a 2-0 lead into halftime. The boys came out flying in the second half and really put the pressure on which led to a great goal by Tatum Steen to come within one goal. The midfield of Grayson Hallett dished the ball down the sideline to Asher Garand or Spencer Gingue who both made great passes to the front line. Graham Moriarty kept working the midfield and made some really key steals and dishing them off to his teammates for yet another rush by the front line. Cooper Daft and Muuji Johnson were both flying through the air to receive a pass or chase the ball down to the side and make sure the defenders didn't get the ball. Noah Miller made some key saves including one with about 6 minutes left where he jumped in the air and pushed it out of the end line. Unfortunately the defense and goalie of Haverhill seemed to always have an answer. Great game!
