Our Middle School Initiative
One-to-One (1:1) at Burke
Here at Burke, we provide Macbook Air computers for each student in Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth grade.
Kindergarten, First and Second Graders share a cart of Lenovo and Acer laptops. Our youngest technology natives use iPads Minis.
The benefits of one-to-one computing are improvements in writing, literacy, science, exam scores, and GPAs all have been noted in various research studies.
One-to-One Computing Goals:

Meet Our Library Media Specialist!
Brittany Fitzgerald
Brittany Fitzgerald will serve as a librarian/makerspace with an emphasis on literacy and integrating technology to improve student learning. Prior to coming to ¾«¶«´«Ã½ East Brittany worked for six years at St. Joseph School in Haverhill, Massachusetts and for two years at MicroSociety Academy Charter School in Nashua, NH. She has a Masters in Education from Southern New Hampshire University and a bachelor of science from Plymouth State University.
