It was a perfect day for a soccer game, as the 5/6 ¾«¶«´«Ã½ East Lyndon boys took on Danville at home. Although it seemed like a pretty even match that could have gone either way, the KE boys were defeated 2-1.
“We saw a lot of great potential out on the pitch today, we just need to tighten up in certain areas. We had a few opportunities where we just couldn’t net the ball on. The coaching staff are very pleased with the performance that was put forth for their first match of the season” says coach Bias
¾«¶«´«Ã½ East's lone goal was scored by Luca Bianco off a nice crossing assist from Pace McKinnon. Both Grayson Bias and Trent Ainsworth split the goalie duty for the match and also had multiple saves to help keep the team in the hunt.
“We have a lot of work ahead of us, if we want to continue to improve. We are fortunate enough to have a lot of great talent on the team who are hungry to work hard” says coach Bias.
¾«¶«´«Ã½ East Lyndon boys look hopeful to get locked in as they will prepare to face one of their fellow district teams from Burke on Monday. The game is slated to go off at 5:15, back on the LTS home turf.
